This is the bug list for the site rebuild. I'll try to keep this up-to-date as we squash some. If your bug is not listed here, it's either fixed now, or I haven't seen it yet...

Remember that not all bugs will probably get fixed - as we work on the codebase for Necta X, some of these are not worth fixing.

* Missing about 3,500 tunes
* No easy way for users to replace tunes with non-streamrip versions.
* Now Playing gets stuck at Time Left 0:00 instead of advancing to the next song
* Average Vote information is missing for some songs with votes
* HTML5 player still has some quirks when left unattended for too long
* Various improvements (birthdays, paginate favorites, Show My Uploads, etc)
* Add donate button
* Self-vote is disabled, but gives no warning when you try to do it
* Currently-playing song is counted as a user in the queue - so DJRandom's current song prevents a user from getting their Three Free Requests until it's done
* Extra Resources are back, but Download Links still missing (flagPhlubby_Gnome is working on this one)
* Caching problems with lock images on the Tag Cloud page
* Tab order is incorrect for login page and Oneliner
* Cannot save profile with a missing avatar
* Songs with a permissive license set (CC, etc) do not show download links on the song page
* Quick posts to OneLiner sometimes resolve out-of-order
* Favorites pagination is veeeerryyyy ssssllllllooooowwwwww.....

Now playing gets stuck on 0:00 instead of changing to the next song. Chatting in the oneliner works around the issue. Two brackets in front of the time-stamp of the oneliner. Maybe they have their reason. I am just a rare visitor. ^^

A number of songs (that are R[ecovered], whose status is "active," and which have votes) are not displaying their vote averages, either in lists or on the song's page.

Sending PMs, as well as posting messages to this forum, results in error messages, though the PMs do arrive and the messages do post to the forum.

The "Listen" button on the homepage (which brings up the player in the mini window) does not link to an active stream. Necessary instead to click "Streams" and select one in order to listen.

- Need to add widget containing list of current admins
- Could birthdays be added, like in the Old Necta?
- Ability to access a list of a user's uploads from their profile needed
- If de-paginate button could be moved from user profile to favorites list, it would make a lot more sense
- A link to the "Themes" page could be added to the list in the upper left, where it would less hidden than in user profile, where it's a bit obscure
- Can the Oneliner widget be elongated so that more history is immediately visible without having to click "history"?

Add a donate button so that we can support all your guys' great work, and thanks for all these efforts.

Probably should be differentiating between "bugs" and "site improvements" rather than posting everything here, though there is some overlap.

SMaller one:
No message is given on selfvoting (if you try to vote your song which is connected to your user account it should say that you cannot do that)

Requesting 3 songs in row to empty pending list worked one time and other time even 2 songs didn't. Other user apparently experienced the same.

Used a tag list to find some songs (i.e. clicked on a tag to generate the list of all songs with that tag). Requested a song. The green circle (request icon) changed to the lock icon, naturally. After refreshing the same page (F5), the lock icon reverted to the request icon.
Did the entire process a second time and replicated the same result.

The songs were not requestable again--the lock remained in effect (and going to the song's page would display the lock), but refreshing that tag list showed the request icon rather than the lock icon, for some reason, even though lock icons appeared next to songs that had already been locked prior to first loading the tag page.

I hope this makes sense.

Also on the last entry: visiting another page and then clicking back to the tags page produced the same effect.
....
Okay, I figured that the page wasn't updating properly when trying to refresh, but now I started from scratch, clicked "Tag cloud," then clicked the particular tag, generating the list anew, and those songs I requested are still showing the request icon. So the page is not updating at all.

But I just did a song search using terms in the title of those songs, to bring them up in a list that way. In that list (search results list), the songs show as locked. So I have no idea why they won't show as locked in the tag page. Are the lists generated differently?

Date Added for Old Songs Incorrect

This seems to be across the board. Songs that have user comments posted 8 or 9 YEARS ago are displaying that they were added a few months or a few years ago.

For example:
https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/1781/
"It was added 4 months, 4 weeks ago."

https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/13961/
https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/5255/
https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/6062/
These all display: "It was added 5 months ago."

Now, all the above songs have no uploader listed, which I assume means that they were part of the pre-Sad Panda database. So at first I thought that maybe this was only happening to songs from YES Nectarine. But then I noted these examples:

https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/36642/
"It was added 3 years, 1 month ago." (User comments go back to over 6 1/2 years)

https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/8724/
"It was added 4 months, 4 weeks ago." (User comments go back almost 10 years)

These two examples both have uploaders listed, so I assume they were uploaded to Sad Panda Necta.

So it seems that "added" values are off across the whole DB. I looked at songs that I uploaded earlier this year and... maybe they are correct, but I honestly don't remember when I uploaded them. Can others please check songs you've uploaded (and that you remember roughly when you uploaded) and see if dates added are correct? Especially for songs that you added this year, last year, or 2 years ago (to know whether it's also happening to recently-added songs).

UPDATE: It's all songs that are affected. You can also note the discrepancy by looking at votes. So, one of the songs I uploaded that displays having been added "5 months ago" (and which I couldn't remember exactly when I uploaded it) has votes over 9 months ago.

Remix Info Missing for Recently Uploaded Songs

I believe that this problem is only affecting songs that were uploaded within a certain time period prior to the shut down of scenemusic.net, though I don't know how long that period would be, whether several months, all of 2018, or an entire year.

What I know is that this has affected the songs that I uploaded in early 2018. (Others please check your uploads to see if you can figure out how far back in time this problem stretches.)

Examples:

This song: https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/44831/
is a remix of this song: https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/44830/
I know because I uploaded both, and when I did, I most definitely linked the remixed song to the original. But that connection is now gone.

This CC Catch song: https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/44868/
is a remix of this old mod: https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/44529/
I uploaded both, this year. But the remix links are gone; visiting the CC Catch version does not indicate that it is a remix and visiting the original will display no link to the remix.

Here's one where I only uploaded the remix, not the original:
Remix: https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/44578/
Original: https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/6696/
The original has no uploader listed and has been in the site for a long time. But the link between remix and original is gone.

All of the above are for remixes uploaded this year. Here are examples of older remixes that remain linked to their originals:

https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/31640/
https://scenestream.net/demovibes/song/36794/

So this is only happening with more recently uploaded songs, though we don't know for what period of time.

If a scrape of the DB that has provided the data for this new site captured all the song info for a recently-uploaded song (including user comments on those recent songs, and fields like "Additional Information"), why would something like the remix status be missing? It will constitute a lot of work if we have to go back and manually assign all recently-uploaded remixes to their originals again.
