well yes not all got the budget or resources for huge hollywood teams like that but it just worsens the results if one guy has to do all by himself. I am so-so in mixmastering. but good in composing and arranging I find sound designing etc boring.
Agemixer(00:19:17)
Are you saying i shouldn't mix things myself? That's nonsense for scenemusic
Rapture(00:16:52)
Professional (like hollywood pro level) is: a guy composers. ANOTHER GUY arranges (like to do both in one). Another TEAM orchestrates your music to orchestra. Another TEAM mixes. Another TEAM masters. It is NOT just one guy-for-everything. And that'sgood

and distortion sounds awful. too bad we have too make EVERYTHING LOUD NOWADAYS. it destroys most mixes. and it harrasses your ears. I tell you sth about professionalism:
Rapture(00:15:02)
the less lowend the better esp via headphones. ppl tend to add TOO MUCH to lowend, including me. and maximizing then adds too much too lowend, it distorts etc
Agemixer(00:13:23)
Gee, i'm hungry. (Waiting the DelayLiner to operate..)
Rapture(00:05:28)
makes everything HARSH then. digital 100% without noise floor is really AWFUL to mix imho. I mixed much better with hardware synth that had ANALOG outputs
Rapture(00:04:40)
if you add too much, or cut with weird filter curves or make all mono below that, it harrasses your ears.
Rapture(00:04:06)
the best tunes I hear on necta have really FEW low end, and that's good. no need to show off with lowend stuff. 80hz is good region for warm bass. below that, be very careful VERY VERY careful in this clean digital age of music.
