Reminds me of some comments in Pouet for that demo. Tune is very cliche (almost already in it's time) bastard of italo. hi-nrg, synthpop, etc. sound that lot of musicians did at the time (note, it's not doskpop though). But yes, it is one of the finest if not the finest example of that (5 stars from me of coz). Note that Bit Arts made something more modern for the 2nd part of the demo...

Without nostalgia 2-3 stars. I'm sure if I made exactly THAT mod nowadays and released it, ppl would just vote 3-4 stars and go "meh, ripoff of 80s early 90s modules". Nostalgia is a beast. I typed this while watching two pidgeons fighting on the roof outside. lol

So you're criticising an early 90s module because, if released today, people would say "it sounds like an early 90s module"? That's nonsensical.

mirror: You didn't get it. What I meant was the following: When that tune was not made and released in 1992 by Jester (and got to know a lot, and people now have big nostalgia around it too, thus defending the tune massively), but just now made by me or someone else, it wouldn't have such an impact. Not now. Maybe in many years later? Maybe, due to nostalgia again
