The same at positions $3f, $40 -> $41 and then $bf, $c0 -> c1 should fix it up pretty much, the rest of it cannot be even heard ($20, 60, a0, e0) and i'm quite sure this will just work.

Yes, a lookup table of .. $7e, 7f, 82, 83 .. or a skip around like that, cant remember exactly. So it will give 250 amplitude stages instead of 256

So for example a simple (full scale) saw waveform the osc ramp on output is not linear but for silent samples it can be compensated with an extra lookup table for each amplitude stage to linearize it. It is most noteable at "zero" sample value, $7f <-> $80
