i wish that dude Rob was still around, he was a general DIY guy who had moved into that area after an IT career. i got him to fix the accumulated tiny things that had gone wrong in my house over the previous decade he was amazing
You can find a contour map of your area, and compare it with culverts and other civil engineering jobbies, and determine how "Biblical" of an event would set you back... but then again, a mere crack in the foundation will cause all the hassle you need.

houses at the bottom end did get flooded about a decade ago though, i remember a huge truck came to suck up the muddy water and take it...somewhere...?
well there's a brook/little stream at the bottom of the street, but it really is the bottom, it would have to be a SERIOUS Noah flood to reach my carpets
