The closing chorale from J.S. Bach's cantata no. 56 "Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen" (1726) in which other sections are sung by a lone bass voice. The melody is composed by Johann Crüger in 1649. Short chorals in Bach's vocal music are typically based on older psalms with an added harmony and some times also orchestration.
